Guineas are very noisy.  A lot of farmers keep guineas as an alarm system, because they make a racket if a strange person or animal comes around.  The other reason they keep them is to eat grasshoppers, ticks, snakes, etc.  If a person has enough room, they free range really well, needing little human attention.  Also, their meat is considered a delicacy in some cultures.

They have a lake house right across the Alabama line and say there are a lot of snakes and he likes the noise (alarm).......that what he wants them for.  I'm trying to find a local place that has some for him. I found one place, but don't know how close it is to him.  I figure if I tell him where to go get them, he'll be happy.  I offered to hatch some for him, but he wants grown ones.

Craigslist - Somebody is always trying to sell guineas on craigslist.  Look in the Farm and Garden section.
