I got my missing trap back last night   lolololol  A very large male coon was trapped in the dog proof trap last night and on his other front foot was the missing trap.  Isn't that the craziest thing?

Also one more yesterday.  My son's dog presented me with a small coon.  Not a baby, but not as big as the others.  So that makes #8 and #9.  It's funny that the dog gets it and is trying to help.

Lord Dawn, that coons been dragging around that trap and still coming back for more! Talk about persistence! I just love when dogs do that.......like they understand what you are trying to accomplish! I believe they do.....yes I do   ;)

It's been about two weeks since the last coon, but they came back last night.  This time it was a big male.

Haven't lost any more birds out of the outside pens.  It's surprising how well the traps are working.  Apparently a coon cannot walk past one of these traps.  And I find it quite convenient to bait with layer pellets.  Almost always they stop at the first one they come to.  Also, it seems like they don't learn from the mistakes of others.
