One of the rain bands is on us right now.  Not the wind of the storm, but rain.  We are not in harm's way here in Brown Co. like people are in the south of the state.  We are about 130 miles NW of Austin.  We may get flooding if Lake Brownwood spills over.  It is 1.3 ft. from the spillway right now.   When we heard of this hurricane we still had our new round bales down in the field -- the same field where the flooding two years ago washed out the neighbor's corn onto us.  So we hurried up and moved the bales to a safe place.  Also, the neighbor cut his corn (for silage) a month ago.  The hay we cut is already growing back -- at least a foot tall already. We might get a second cutting!

No drama here, thank God.   flower  Some of Marshall's cousins grew up in Houston and still live there.  They left before the hurricane hit and now are staying near Austin with other relatives.  It's hard to believe how this is unfolding.   eek   More later.
