This forum uses something called BB code.  It is similar to html, but uses the square brackets.  The embed code you get from Youtube is html, so it doesn't display properly in the forum without some help.  Follow these steps:

1.  Sign out of your Youtube account.

2.  Use these BB code tags:
Code: [Select]
[html][/html]
3.  Copy the Youtube embed code for the video you want to post.

4.  It will look like this:
Code: [Select]
[html]<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/1tqxzWdKKu8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>[/html]
5.  Hit the Post button and look what we've got:

Okay......when I went on utube.....I hit the share button and found the embed code, but tried the (hand typed) html BB code to put it and it didn't work.  There are buttons on bottom line for url, images etc.  Is there one for this BB code I'm missing?

Sorry you're having trouble.  I guess my first directions weren't so good.  You have to either type or copy and paste the BB code
Code: [Select]
[html][/html].  Then you paste the embed code in between them.

The reason to log out of the youtube account is so the link doesn't start with "https".  That is secure html and the video won't display if it is there.   There is an alternative:  look closely at your embed code and delete only the "s" at the end of http.

This is all awefully complicated for everyday use.  I'll see if I can find a mod to fix our youtube problem.

Okay, now there is a YouTube button.  It is third from the last on the bottom row of buttons.  Haven't fooled with it yet, but will try to see exactly how it works this afternoon.
