This story gave me a good laugh.   I would NEVER fly with a turkey.  Just sayin'.

I saw that!!!!!!!!!! I laughed too.....Chris says turkeys are like puppies......like loving and follow you around.....is that true? Too funny! lolololol

They consider their people to be part of their flock.  The  hens are especially sweet.  A  hen raised alone can easily be trained to follow simple commands.  My youngest turkey was the only one to hatch from her clutch.  Her name is Princess and I've had a heck of a time convincing her to hang out witth the other turkeys.     She is verry shy and sensitive and feels that her place in the world is with the Food Mama.  I'm making her roost with the flock at night.  I actually had to walk her out there and put her up on the roost at first, but now she flies up on her own.  Then she spends all day with the flock and gets to visit with me in the afternoon before feeding time.  Last niight she jumped up on the rabbit cage and put her head on my shoulder.  She wanted to be petted.  lol

Awwwwwwwwwww.....how sweet! After all this yuck weather, got the breeding pen set up..........have 7 lavenders in...upset everyone, so I'll give them a week in there by themselves to get settled since I need them not to be touched by Doc and put roo in to be able to carry on. Chris loves his turkeys like you............
